Hi Melanie, can i please have some advise regarding PPI. Is there a law stating the I must allow my IVA company to claim my PPI once the Last payment end Feb 12. I ask as they are withholding my closure documentation until I give them permission to claim my PPI.Gt is the firm, I'm guessing the PPI is holding the CC.
Many thanks

If any PPI mis-selling claim is deemed to be an asset of your IVA, then your IP is acting correctly and I would urge you to co-operate with them. Get them to show you the specific term of your IVA proposal which indicates that any claim is indeed an asset which needs to be recovered for the benefit of your creditors.

This should not hold up your case closure - as cases can be closed once IPs have all matters in hand to pursue the claim, but this does rely upon your co-operation in the first instance. The fact that you don't think you were mis-sold anything, doesn't necessarily mean that you weren't - so do let your IP check this out for you.

After all if the money is not an asset of the IVA, and claim will be yours to keep.

Thank you so much. I'm quiet happy for GT to do that is coz I can't see to get the reason of holding up the CC they don't give me one, I had a letter by the end of Feb 12 after my last payment saying no further payment or action required, great should no be long.. Due to dad pass away I completely forgot about everything as per excuses from my email above that is what I'm getting also near Xmas had a phone call also after a post on here and few phone calls to GT someone got back to me saying oh you £xx. amount due...okay I said that can be possible when I didn't miss a payment and also I extend years to make sure I cover any payment I knew I had too.I had another phone call saying ohhh you got 3 times £ xxxx amount more to pay even more sense the first one!!! I'm getting more confuse here and worrying. Them they had and investigation came back...okay we have discuss with xxxxx we are prepare to clear these figures for you and don't have to pay anything else. I was so happy to hear that. Them now you have to sign the documents for PPI claim which I'm happy to do so. No CC and no time for it.
