I'm surprised they have picked up on this so quickly.

Let your IP know what has happened - see if there a Foodbank nearby as Liz suggested and possibly speak to the CAB.

Have you opened a new bank account?

Which company are you using?

Emma did your selected company not inform you to open a new account? I am sure if you inform your IVA company straight away they will be able to help you by speaking with your bank too.
Took The plunge and made the call, changed our family life and we have never been happier. Debt free and wont go back..... IVA was by far the best thing we ever did to teach us the real value of Family and money

I'd be surprised if HSBC were helpful going by my past experience and knowing that they close down accounts of people who are in an IVA and not even a creditor of theirs.

OUR IP told us to open a new bank account after the initial phone enquiry long before any paper work started arriving or any creditors where informed. This give us time to get all our money out the bank and get our DD's and wages sorted. But when our old bank closed the account we where not informed

I've never heard of your company at all.

Which bank account do you have now?

Pathfinder appear to deal mostly with debt management but may well act as a middleman for ivas.

I would call pathfinder first thing tomorrow Emma and tell them what has happened and that they need to call the bank to release funds for you to live on.

We lost out by being too slow at removing funds from our lloydstsb account. The £700 overdraft was included in our insolvency but lloyds froze our account with a credit balance and wouldnt let us access the overdraft.

Sort of fair enough as it was their money but left us very short indeed!!

Hope you get something sorted.

All IPs worth their salt know that leaving clients with HSBC current accounts is a disaster. Did your IP no advise you to open an account with another bank Emma?
