It would appear not, depending upon the reasons for the delay, andye.

There have been a lot of delays, caused initially but VAT issues and now by PPI claims.

Has your IP mentioned PPI to you ? Who are you with ?

He is with DFD.

They seem to be on a par with GT at the moment with sending out completion letters.

Andye ---- I feel it's not the IVA per se that you would not recommend, but maybe one provided through DFD !

As Niobe says, it seems DFD and GT are in a race to the bottom at the moment, both taking extraordinary times to issue certificates, and both blind to the anguish this causes (neither seem able to communicate either).

However, we have excellent providers who are issuing certificates within months ( weeks in some cases) ---- it does beg the question -- why some and not others ?

I agree Foggy, I think it is DFD he is talking about rather than an IVA. DFD are getting as bad a reputation as GT and don't even have a representative on here anymore.

It does prove Foggy that, in the case of some companies, completion certificates can be issued within a reasonable timescale. I'm sure it cannot be that difficult for the FSA to legislate that, say, after, lets be generous, six weeks from final payment, an investigation could be conducted as to why a CC hasn't been issued. It is not law IPs investigate PPI and such like. Should a very good reason not be given for the release of CCs, then a heavy fine be put in place. This ineptitude by some IPs need to be stopped and I guess it will take court action to do it. It only takes one successful case to force IPs to do what is fundamentally correct and proper.
Completed IVA - August 2012 pheeeeeeeeeew

It seems that more companies are happy to take your money monthly hassle you for every penny but once complete they don't want to know you and will just do what they want. I have a feeling that it needs some serious regulating.
