Had another call from EIC this morning telling me GT had a legal obligation to investigate mis sold PPI. I advised her that we have never been mis sold PPI, we had PPI once, but we agreed to it and we made a claim against it when my husband was off sick. I confirmed that we have never been mis sold PPI and she hung up!! We had a similar call to this about 4 months ago.
Anyone else had any calls??

Hi

I wonder if we can have clarification from GT about this, does the debtor have to agree to a PPI reclaim investiagtion or not, and if not will it affect the completion of their IVA ?

Regards

Thanks Andy, it would be useful if GT could clarify on the forum for the benefit of everyone.

The IP should conduct an investigation into PPI on current and past debts. We are all finding cases where PPI has been sold without our client's knowledge - so my advice to Purple Butterfly is to complete the authority forms and let EIC conduc their investigations. You may suprised to see what they actually find.

I had to agree to this when applying for my IVA. Although I have claimed back all of my PPI already.

I think they said that if any PPI was reclaimed, I would get the first £500.
