Please can anyone help me we compleated our iva in 2009 it was with synergi partners but the problem is although we have all our paperwork and completion certs synergi went into liquidation and we now have been informed that they never removed the restriction order from the land registry so now we want to remortgage and cant as this is holding the process up does anyone know who the administators were for synergi or who took the company over. any advice will be gratefully received thanks

Hi and welcome.

I think it was Cleardebt who bought the client base from Synergi (could be wrong though!!)

Hopefully one of the other posters will confirm but if it is the case then you need to contact them to see if they can remove tbis.

There isn't enough info on here to be absolutely certain as to what has happened, but if you wish to contact me offline, my details are in the experts section, then I will be happy to assist in any way I can.

It should be a simple process to lodge an RX4 with HM Land Registry and thus get the restriction removed - but it will need to be signed off by the IP who originally acted for you, unless powers of attorney were signed when the Synergi portfolio was transferred. Am sure Size 5 will sort this out for you with ease.
