After starting my IVA in January 2006 I finally received my certificate of completion today :)
VAT was the main delay.
I had to insist 3 times that there was no PPI to claim but once confirmed in writing I got my certificate in less than a week !!!

I started my IVA in February 2006 and am still waiting :( But I am really pleased for you that you have now completed.

I didn't have the VAT problem, just some fraudulant claims for PPI at the direction of my IP.

Good luck and enjoy your financial freedom!!!
7 years after starting an IVA I finally received a completion certificate from ClearDebt

Last payment was August 2011 !

They delayed due to VAT then disappeared off the face of the earth for 6 months.
When I again chased they said it was due to PPI, I had previously told them twice that there was no claim. On this occasion they asked me to confirm in writing and I got my certificate inside a week.
1 year since final payment and still no completion certificate

Hi all, I am nearing the end of my IVA and I am dreading the wait for my certificate. Once all payments have been made and the hold up on issuing the cert. is through no fault of your own why o why do we need to pay over any windfalls in that time? does not seem fair.
