Hi any help will be appreciated. We are just after our first year iva review and my husband been offered a franchise driver, which mean he will be able to earn more but have to pay tax himself. I's this something he can do while on iva?

Hello,

Yes he can do that, nothing to stop him and it may mean that you will be able to pay more to your IVA.

Just let your IP know what is happening.

Agreed keep your IP in the loop at all times and pay any extra monies due over and no surprises that way at review time.x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Make sure and allow for tax and national insurance when budgetting. Do a set of projections and base any uplift on te net figure after tax and expenses.

More importantly make sure whoever works out your I&E makes this allowance ... mine didn't !!!

It is obviously because of the IVA that he has been rejected as they will have done a credit check. It's not good and I would fight it if you can.

Hi all
He had a form to fill n it says something about credit check so he ask opinion from the IP assistant n have been told to tell his manager about the iva situation. His manager came back and say no it can't be done if he is on iva. I felt gutted! I didn't know about it until he told me, I would have suggest otherwise! How are we gonna fight now?
