Hi,

Your IVA won't be completed until you get the completion letter but personally speaking (and I wait to be shot down on this one!!) I'd let sleeping dogs lie.

You will have made your last payment so hopefully that should be it.

One of the experts will be along with some advice shortly.

Just wondering why your avatar states that you have already finished?

Not unless your expecting a weddingpresent from your IP !!

Not sure why would need to tell them if it's after your final payments due, although I stand o be corrected
Last payment made April 2012
Certificate received 1st Nov 2012

Niobe, on another posting by kahlan she stated that her Iva will have a 2 year extension, making a total of 7 years! This could be the cause of the avatar status

Kahlan, congratulations on your engagement and forthcoming marriage, and as already stated, it will be no concern of your IP as I don't think you will have any more extensions on your IVA so all you will be waiting for is the CC

Thank you everyone for your comments. And yes you are correct that this will be 7 years in total for the IVA, so am very excited that it will be completed soon!

We have discussed this again, and my Fiance will probably move in with me in July/August next year so we can finish preparations etc (although a very small wedding on a very tight budget - all paid for by our parents).

I will still be in my IVA in July/August - all be it the last two months, do you think that this will be a problem?

Hi All

I will still be in my IVA in July/August 2013 (when fiance will move in) - all be it the last two months of the IVA, do you think that this will be a problem? Will they want me to fill out a new expenditure form for this?

many thanks

they may want a new income and expenditure form completed but that shouldnt really pose any problems. Let them know whats going on,you have nothing to lose in doing so,but hiding the fact that your circumstances have changed could become an issue if your IP somehow found out,so why risk it after 7 years of hard work??

Kahlan congrats on the engagement could your partner not move in closer to the wedding and that way your IVA will be completed and it will save you all the problems of new I&E for a month or two

thanks for your comments, we have to 'give notice' of marriage and to do this he has to live in the borough we're getting married in - which he currently doesn't, so he has to move in a couple of months before the wedding.

Do you think that this will effect my IVA in anyway - or should I plan to have a Christmas wedding? (IVA due to finish Sept)

IP/Expert advise needed!

- Thank you for all the congrats (very excited!)

I think you are worrying about nothing and a quick call to your own IP will put your mind at ease. If your partner does move in for the last couple of months it may be something that would only be picked up at the annual review stage so irrelevant anyway.

Hi Kahlan - congrats on the engagement. No it will not harm your IVA, the most it may do is affect your final payments if there needed to be a review but as you are so close to finishing as long as you can maintain your payments at the current level you should be fine. Remember an IVA is legally binding - you should never be concerned about updating your IP - the IVa is there to service your debts not trip you up.

Best wishes with this exciting new pahse of your life and for the successful completion of your IVA - well done for the last 7 years!
