Hi, I am in my first year of an IVA and have been looking around for car insurance as our quote was much higher this year. I have had a few that have been declined which has never happened before. Has anyone any experience of this?
Thankyou

Hi and welclome to the forum.

This has happened to one or two posters unfortunately. You will have to keep searching as there are companies out there who will do monthly insurance.

I'm sure one of our posters will be along to help with some suggestions.

Try Roland Smith Liverpool they take monthly payments interest free they are very good a little more than compare . com but when they put 32%apr on your payments it works out the same. Never had any trouble all the years I have been with them.

One Call took me on and the small print stated a credit check would be done, they accepted me couple of days after applying online, so far no problems (yet!!!)

I've never heard of ecar before.

Luluj - I presume telco should be tesco?

Predictive text is a nightmare isn't it? I was sending birthday greetings to a friends child via FB yesterday and, thankfully, checked before I sent it as it had put his name down as Swine!!!

Don't think she'd have been impressed!!

Hi moneymuddles. Welcome to the Forum. I have been with M&S & Tesco during my IVA. I've always paid by DD, and had no problems. Good luck.
IVA journey started: 30th March 2009. Settled: 17th July 2012. Completion Certificate received: 13th March 2013. Breathe. x
