How do I get Natwest to change my account to settled and closed on my credit reports. I have sent their data officer but to no avail. Any suggestions on what to do next?

I meant to say I have sent the letter which was kindly posted on this site to their data protection officers but they are ignoring me.

IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thank you as this is now over a year since we completed our IVA and still they keep the account as showing open and in default which obviously is affecting our credit rating and our ability to clear our name.

Write to them again - tell them they have 28 days to sort this out otherwise you will take things further.

I have done - 3 times and even threatened with reporting them to the Information Commissioner - to no avail. Totally ignored.
I need somewhere higher up to go to I guess.

You need to escalate this to the ICO as they are the only ones who have the power to force them to comply.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I think you can also ask the credit agencies to intervene on your behalf. I don't if that could cause any more problems though.

Thanks have done that but they say they cannot do anything except request a review of their account reporting and it is up to Natwest to change the status. I despare with these people!
