Well I am still I shock that our F&F was accepted yesterday, and it's slowly starting to sink in that we will be debt free!
So today in celebration, I opened myself a savings account...when I logged on to my Lloyds online current account, there was a link to apply for this savings acc online...so I thought why not?!
I must admit I did have that twinge in my stomach as I hit 'apply' thinking oh god will they check my credit and alert them to my IVA...but not it was accepted!
So I have transferred my first £10, and hopefully this will not be the last!!
It will be nice to know all our money will be ours.....we are off camping tomorrow (typical British weather not looking good though!), so we a sure to celebrate (although quietly as no one else knows).

Fantastic news mrl211102 - the first £10 of many. Congrats on your F&F being accepted - here's to a new life from this point forwards.

Enjoy your camping - I'm doing the same Monday night as part of our village festivities but don't think weather report is good!

Best wishes,

Enjoy your holiday - the wife only has one day off (yaaay!!) which is Sunday so it will be nice and peaceful in this household!!

We have an e-savings account attached to our account - anything we can manage to save goes in there.

Always good to save and it's the one thing we've learnt in an IVA.

All the best for your debt free future and hope them savings multiply! x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

We got a savings account when we opened a basic account with Barclays..we try and add a bit here and there when we can even if its just to cover those rainy day times when everything goes wrong!
When you make a mistake, don't look back at it long...the past cannot be changed. It is the present and future that counts

Congratulations, those £10's add up quickly. Have a fantastic holiday - hope the weather stays kind!
It's been a long road getting from there to here but it's been worth it!
