Have GT done anything to keep you informed about any of this so far, or is this only coming out now after you chasing them for information?

This, unfortunately, seems to be the root of many of the current GT problems. Sorting out BE's book turned out to be a sight more complicated than envisaged and has taken much of GT's resources.

Yes, GT could have done and could still do, much more to keep clients informed, but I feel they are beginning to get back on an even keel and, hopefully, things will improve from hereon in.

With a few notable exceptions communication does seem to be a weak spot with many IP's, once they have you signed up --- before that they are contactable 24 / 7 !

I have found that the squeaky wheel gets the oil [:)]
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

This is a really strange one. I'd love to know how some creditors were overpaid - I thought funds had to be kept in designated bank accounts, so where did the money come from to overpay creditors? Some of the other creditors were underpaid perhaps?

Presumably all the dividend payments were actioned by BE. Maybe they paid out the full amount in the bank account without realising that GT would come along and pass a variation to allow a retrospective increase in IP fees. Surely GT aren't trying to recover funds from creditors so they can pay themselves some additional fees?

I agree, to be honest, I just want it all over with, I will even pay the difference if it helps, I don't care. I would rather pay someone to do it for me, ie solicitor ect.... It has come to that stage.!!!

Rather than speculate on the reasons why, get your IP to explain the course of events which has led to this situation and the timescale in which they expect to have it rectified for you.

To be fair Lewis has already asked for a full explanation and has so far only been given reasons/excuses that he is struggling to understand with no indication of when it will be sorted.

Totally unacceptable in my opinion. An IP has a duty to be transparent and open in their dealings. The debtor should not have to waste so much of their time desperately trying to get the IP to disclose the full truth as to what has actually gone wrong and what they are going to do to sort it out.

well said vince666 i agree that this is totally unexceptable and need investigating now! the IP is the legally obligated to take control of the IVA thats what they are regulated to do and should have contacted they IVA customers to tell them why , if any problems where to delay the IVA closure! i wish him/her luck and hope this mess is sorted out asap and not a month longer!
