Hey everyone, I don't post all that often, and my IVA should be expiring in September.

However, my brother has fallen into financial trouble, and has been contacted by Knightsbridge Financial (after being turned down for a loan to consolidate, I'm guessing the bank passed his details on)... does anyone have any experience with this company?

He believes he's entering into an IVA, but he only has around £7k to £8k of debt, therefore I didn't think he would qualify for an IVA. Are these guys legit?

Hi,

I've removed the link as we don't want to advertise them.

Not heard of them before but the website does seem a bit vague.

With that level of debt I would think that he is in a debt management plan not an IVA. He needs to check with them.

Welcome to the IVA forum Nighteyes.

Your brother should speak with a few companies for advice before he makes any final decisons on the way forward.

Sometimes you can be tempted to go with the first company that offers you a solution.

Congratulations on nearly completing your IVA Nighteyes :-)

Thanks for the replies. I've told him to give the number at the top of this site a call.

I have a question regarding my own IVA, but I will post that separately. :)

Hi Nighteyes, that would be a good starting point so he can have a comparison. Hope he gets everything sorted ok.

Hi

I think with the debt level quoted it is unlikely to be an IVA and more likely a Debt Management Plan.

Hopefully he can take advice from a few other companies and make an informed choice
