Im on an iva with payplan.
My sister offered to help me make a
full and final offer which was accepted on 27/3/12
However i have received only a verbal confirmation and
after 2 weeks of ringing an e-mail.
My sister is nervous about sending a cheque for 18,000 without proper confirmation( she is now worried it might be a con)
I have e-mailed N.Payne at payplan (via address on here) to confirm as letter says make cheque out to him.
Is it safe to make this payment as im desperate to complete. Thanks

I can understand your sister wanting confirmation before sending the money. You could also email Gemma Burton - she is the current Payplan expert on here. Her details are in her profile.

Thanks i will e-mail her as well.
I am surprised at the lack of contact and
confirmation as they have been great until now.

Hi Denis - I would make double sure before sending over the cheque - I am sure everything is absolutely fine as Payplan are a well known company that many clients on here are with. It is surprising the xheque to to be made out to Nick personally but maybe that is how they do it in Payplan. Make sure with someone else first.

Good luck with it and best wishes for your debt free future.

Pleased you have been accepted Denis - hopefully Gemma will come back to you about the cheque.

Have you tried contacting your own case officer to ask?

Hi, I also had a f&f with payplan. The only paperwork I had after the meeting was the report. My parent's made a cheque payable to the ip's name as well and I've just rung this second to make sure they've got it and all ok. Ensure you put your client id on the back of the cheque.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I have e-mailed gemma and if she confirms everything
then i can get my sister to pay on Monday.
Was beginning to worry my account had been hacked or
something as i have rang payplan every other day since
27 march but only had an e-mail reply.
Expected more than that as when i entered my iva originally in june 11 i received a full report.
Will update when Gemma replies.
