How long do you stay on the insolvency register for? Are you removed once you have made your final payment or are you on it until you receive your certificate of completion?
Full and final accepted 7th February 2012. Final payment made 4th April 2012 hip hip horray !!!
Certificate of completion received 7th September 2012

Hi Julie,

Once you have completed your IVA, your IP will send a copy of your completion letter to the Insolvency Service and you should come off shortly afterwards.

Until your IP informs the insolvency service that it is complete, so when you get your certificate usually a few days later.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

Bear in mind the extended period of time GT are taking to issue completion certificates. If they are lucky, anyone making a final payment around now will be looking at the back end of the year for certificate and removal from the register.

Unfortunately there are reports from a number of people who are still waiting after 10 to 11 months.

Nothing anyone can do about that.

I will just be happy to have made my final payment. The rest I can wait for.

Hopefully you will be off by then. If not then raise a query with your IP.

How long after having an IVA accepted until you appear on the register?

We were accepted on 24-2-12 and as yet we don't feature.

It's "how long is a piece of string" DK ! It took me 6 months to appear, others have been there in weeks.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

It was three weeks for me but, as Foggy says, it does vary.

It varies to go on I agree and I can't wait to come off and receive my certificate of compliance. Would shout it from the rooftops but not many people know so best keep it quiet. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Some people will be happy with that jan, but some people want the IVA to be completed as soon a possible due to reason such as clearing file and getting a mortgage, moving on with other issies, i think its very unfair that sometimes people have a 'ohhh sit back and relax attitude' when there able to once their IVA ends, others are not in such a good position post IVA!!

Once I'm able to clean up and move on I will do artemischild. I'm 50 now and need to sort out whether I'm selling up and renting or selling up and moving. I'll need a clear credit record for both. x
