Hi and welcome to the forum.

Most of us have mobile phone contracts - you just have to make sure they are not too expensive.

Which company are you with?

The forum is here for any advice and support you may need along the way.

I'm with 3 but there's myself, my husband and I also have a contract in my name for my daughter!
Doesn't look good does it!
Oh what a mess!

I have an O2 contract which my hubby uses and daughter took out a 3 contract for me during the IVA as they turned me down for one.

As long as it's not excessive then you should be ok.

Which IP company are you going with?

good luck Big Red, your package is expensive, I shopped around for deals in the few months before I entered into n IVA, 3 are good if you phone each other alot - ie 3 to 3, but most of my calls aren't! my daughter just texts, and then we can call each other free (5000 minutes a month 3 to 3) so you might want to look at who you call, or use your landline after 7pm - calls are free to landlines then.
IVA accepted 31.05.11 and 2 reviews DONE!!! Wow,nearly approaching my third. can't believe how time has flown!
December 2015 - made a one off payment and made a settlement of the IVA!! recieved certificate in May. - all completd and now I can get on with my life

I'm in my fifth year of IVA and contract with 3 is fine(upgraded twice). If you change networks you will have a problem as they do credit checks.
However,if you Google phone contracts bad credit for example you will find links to get phones via the carriers directly and bypass the credit checks. But its a little more expensive, but there is always a way.

I pay £36 a month for my contract with Vodafone and I had no problem being allowed that in my IVA and when I went BR.

My contract is around £35 too and it was never questioned. They are quite generous usually with phone allowances.

IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

You can always open up on here Big Red. I've told a few people about my iva but lots of people on here haven't told a sole so it is a lifeline...and we all have this shared experience so understand the journey you're about to embark on like no-one else! x
