have you checked your credit files to make sure all defaults post IVA agreement date have been removed? etc and have you started to rebuild your credit history?

IVA completion and certificate received 08/10/2012!!!
You need to check your credit record with Equifax, Call Credit and Experian. It will cost you a couple of pounds a time. Any defaults registered after the date of original acceptance have to be removed.
You will need to write to any creditors who have continued to default, enclose a copy of your completion letter and tell them to remove those defaults.

Hi Joanne. What is it about a current account that you need ? I have found my co-op cashminder fits all my needs and, when the IVA is done, in all probability I will stay with them.

IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
There are several banks which are IVA friendly so I'm sure post IVA you should be able to sort something. Worth checking those credit files as suggested above to ensure all is in order with those. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I completed an Iva in Dec 09, what does this mean for my future credit and when will i be able to get a current account in a bank.
If you completed in 2009, and it was a 5/6 year IVA your credit files should now be clear. If you've not checked them you should check all 3 Experian, Equifax and Call Credit before applying.
I'm making the assumption your files are clear and you pass their credit scoring systems. NOT the CRA's scoring system. But, you should be able to apply for a standard current account at a bank which has not been a past creditor and be ok now.
