As you know, we had to take a payment break last month for essential boiler repairs and were having a few problems sorting out repayments as Payplan wanted us to make up the payment over two months which was impossible.

To cut a long story short, after I emailed across a copy of the invoice and also said we were willing to pay extra for the next 12 months, it has been agreed that we can so. The extra payment is just about affordable.

Just so pleased we got it sorted and our latest case worker has been very good with this.

Good news Jan. At least a bit of common sense prevailed which is often all it takes.

Thanks Michael - there was just no way we could split over £600 between two months! Perseverance does sometimes pay off!!

Thank goodness for that. There was no point in payplan risking the IVA failing.

I'm amazed to learn how the same company handled the same situation in very different ways. We had a boiler problem in Oct 2010, and needed a full replacement and relocating. Payplan allowed us to take a 4 month payment break and tag the 4 months on at the end of the 60. All we had to do was send in the notice condemning the original boiler as unsafe, the quote and the final invoice.
