Hi guys long time lurker.

I am hoping for some advice. We have rolled into a 6th year due to not being able to remortage & IVA company dragging feet in sorting a variation so we are now looking at a variation meeting soon (month 66!).

Any idea's on how Max recovery/Evershed & HSBC vote now a days. We are looking to reduce return by 3p in the £.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I think you may well be ok - there is not usually a problem with Max/Eversheds and I would think that your HSBC debt has been sold on by now.

However, your IP is best placed to advise - which company are you with?

Surprises me - my HSBC debts have all been sold on.

I'm sure your variation will be ok.

HSBC accepted my IVA in 2007 but unfortunately have not sold the debt on - so it could be sticky when it comes to trying to get a variation, I guess, cos they won't be pleased that the equity in my property can't be released due to the fact that no one will give me a remortgage.....
Last monthly payment made 3 June 2013 after 6 long years. CC issued 21 August 2013, but, er, lost in the post. Finally got it 17 September.

Max recovery were always supportive during my IVA. You have completed a long time in yours and I think they will take the pragmatic view, don't be overly concerned.

Hope you get things sorted soon.

Regards

HSBC voted in favour of my variation to extend by a year as I couldn't release equity
Completion certificate received 31 March 2012.
