Hi Dappa One have you tried all the agents in the area - OT's approach is a good one and at the end of the day who knows you may be selling in the future and if you have good service now you may well go back to them later. If one wants to charge say ok don't worry, I have another agent who is hapy not to charge so I'l go with them thank you. Most agents are desparate for business and new contact so may well go for it.

If you stillcan't get any joy then your IP should be able to help you. With something that is as important as this and essential for the IVA info, if one IP can sort it for a client, funduing it from the IVA pot, then all should be able to.

Keep us posted how you get on.

Well I have a new job to start and as it is two hours drive away will need to move pronto. Have called 7 letting agents in the area and been upfront with all of them re the iva. All of them say "computer says no!" as in you will fail the credit check and need a g'tor. my mother is pensioner, my father dead and brother lives in canada. I have no one I can ask....does anyone have any other ideas how I can progress my life without driving 4 hours per day ?

Try some private landlords pauper - they don't always do a credit check.
