I was refused monthly by someone, I think it was budget or hastings direct.... Just came back at the end to say sorry unable to provide due to credit...

I would recommend cashback sites... I renewed via quidco and went with Axa, got a good deal and got 40 or 50 cashback!

I would certainly shop around and challenge ... I would also consider looking at dual cover if you have more than one car in your household.

our cheapest quote a couple of months ago was from Marks and Spencer.
Went through all the comparison sites and quotes ranged from 320(which we took) and 850!!!
I dont think being in an iva makes any difference to some companies as M and S only did a generic check on my credit file-ie name and address.
full and final accepted January 2015

iva agreed; August 2010
iva would have completed; August 2017

That's pretty good then Andrea! M&S definitely one to look out for when renewal comes up.

Today most of the companies provide monthly installment options. Probably a Multiple Car insurance would be a better option for saving those extra bucks.
