Which IP have you spoken to? You can always try another one.

Hi! I completely sympathise with you about starting again. Don't let one advisor get you down. Speak to another one or two before making a decision. xx

Hi - sorry to hear your IP doesn't think it will be accepted. I would definitely ring round a couple of others either from this site or from www.iva.com.

We are with McCambridge Duffy - you could email Michael Peoples with a brief explanation and see if he could advise anything? Or Melanie Giles is also extreemly helpful.

As Jan says - I would act sooner rather than later as creditors will be loading interest on now the IVA has failed. It's worth mentioning your health would suffer and reasons why as this could sway the creditors.

I don't feel it's the IP that has got me down, just the situation I seem to be in.
I was hoping that the creditors would look favourably at the guarantee of an F&F against another 5 yers of payments.
It's not a definate no at this time.

Hi. Sorry to hear you are feeling low. I think a call to Mel would be a good idea, at least as a starting point. She has aexcellent team and I am sure can help you sort things out.

I agree with Foggy, you could contact Melanie's team. I found them brilliant to work with.

I had some disposable income too, but my offer of a full and final was more than what would have been paid in over the five years, so I think that's why mine was accepted. Compare your lump sum with 60 or 72 payments of your disposable income. If the lump sum is greater it would make sense for the creditors to accept it. Also the fees over five / six years might be greater than a lump sum IVA, so even if the lump sum is less it might be accepted due to the savings on fees.

If you contact Melanie's team they can explain it a lot better than I just did. But you need to act now, as it will give you the feeling of being in control again, which should help you feel a bit better.

Started lump sum IVA in Aug 2010 - received certificate of completion April 2011, thanks to Melanie & team

Just wanted to give you all an update. Melanie Giles and team - especially Marc Tucker have been doing an excellent job for me for the last couple of months. It resulted in the fantastic news today that our F&F for £15,000 from my parents had been accepted by our creditors today. Meeting was at 10.30 and Marc called with the good news at 10.35.

It's still not sinking in. It's been the first time since meeting my husband in 1987 that we have not owed anyone, but the mortgage company.

Our final dividend is at 13p in the pound.

I don't always post, but am constantly on the site and the help and support from people like Kallis and Melanie is invaluable. I don't know where I would be without it.

Thanks

Carrie

Great news. I am in the process of a F&F and I really hope I can have some good news like this in a few weeks' time.
I am so nervous, although being re-assured by everyone which is a great comfort.
Now debt free after F&F in July 2012.
