I have just received the date for my creditors meeting - 17th October at 10.15am - so fingers crossed! It's going to be a tense 2 weeks! Does anyone know how long you have to be available by the phone? That is the same day my son is due back at the hospital to see the consultant so we will have to leave about 12.30 so Im wondering if I should try and change the day of his appointment but I'd prefer to avoid that if I can?

Good luck, fingers crossed!

I would just let them know you need to leave at 12.30, most people hear pretty quickly I had an agonising 2 hour wait as my IP was called into a meeting straight away, so just by my experience I would give them the heads up!

Thank you littlefi, I think you're right - 2 hours is a long wait so I'll give them a call and double check just in case they need me to be around longer in case there's any delay.

littlefi, just rung my company and they advised it was no problem - so that will be a big day - creditors meeting and hospital! As they say... everything comes at once!

I'm sure everything will be fine too! Good on you for ringing at least they know the situation then, I've always found it's best to ring and give them the heads up. Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks Kallis and littlefi - Im glad I did because they've put a note on my file to say I have to leave home at 12.15 so at least they know my commitments - didn't really want to rearrange the consultant because Im anxious to know about my sons hospital results. So all sorted now and one less thing to worry about.

I wish you all the best too. Mine was agreed just a couple of weeks ago. I also had to leave to go to work by mid day, and my meeting was at 10.30. By 11.30 I hadn't heard anything so I phoned up. Even though the company was still waiting for final decisions, they phoned me back within 10 mins with the good news :-)
Today (15/09/11) I start my journey to a debt free future ~ happy days!
