I was required to allow an interest to be registered with the Land Registry for the purposes of my IVA regarding my property. When my IVA ends will they remove that interest or will it remain for ever.

Hi and welcome.

This will only last for the length of your IVA and just means that you cannot sell your property without the IP being informed.

Once you have completed your IVA, asked your IP to confirm that they have sent the necessary paperwork to the Land Registry to remove the restriction. you can then access a copy of your title document from the land registry on line for £4 to check that it has been removed.

Your record will be amended at the end of your IVA ... Give it a couple of months after it has ended and them confirm that it has been done !

Your IP will submit an RX4 to H M Land Registry and this will remove the restriction over your property.
