At the end of the day - if you cannot meet your payments then your are insolvent, doesn't matter how much money you have coming in.

Hiya, just wanted to thankyou all for the replies comments and support.
If I'm totally honest I don't know what the heck to do or where to go. I'm so sick and tired of this debt in particular welcome finance, i wish i'd never set eyes on them! Just spoke to payplan and they seem pretty good, wish I'd of shopped around morethan I did instead of just taking the advice of a friend. I just dont know what to do next. I have diabetes and my bloods are in s**t state one minute I'm on insulin the next I'm not...then I am then I'm not. Not doing me any good whatsoever!
Where can I get a list of what I owe and to whom???

You can check your credit record - will cost you £2 from Experian and that will list your creditors and you can then ask for a balance.

Your statements from your credit cards will suffice for that.

Payplan are good and they do have an IP who posts on here but there are also other companies.

Personally speaking I'd kick the first one into touch!

I hope your diabetes stabilises - try not to worry, I know it's not easy - we've all been there.

The forum is here at any time for advice and support. We're one big happy family on here (and off forum as well for some of us!)

As said above, please have a word with a few other companies, the more this thread goes on the less happy I am with what you have been told. Pop over to www.iva.com where you will find loads of companies with reviews, all the advice is free and impartial.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

There should be no problem in presenting an IVA where more than 75% of the debt is with one creditor. So long as you are putting the best offer forward, creditors under the IVA protocol will be obliged to give the offer serious consideration and provide good reasons for their rejection.

Who is the creditor concerned as a matter of interest?

I really appreciate the replies and comments from you all, infact I feel that I've got further in the past few hours than I have in 3 or so years! Can I say I feel I dunno, erm cared about? That there is people out there who are prepared to help a stranger rather than the faceless other's that don't care...feel part of a family...how weird is that? I wish I'd contacted other companies before I'd decided to go ahead, perhaps they just told me what I wanted to hear??? Payplan are ringing me friday to have 45-1hr telephone conversation on my debts etc.
Thanks again to those who have taken the trouble to reply..you all take care and keep safe I'll be back to let you know whats what so to speak!

Hi, oh dear...just some digging on the money group and found this not happy!!!

"This company have only been active for a 3 months yet lie about being large and badger you for over an hour till you agree and give your switch details. Do Not as they will take payments even if you don't think you have agreed to them, and the bank cannot stop these unless you change your card. When you phone to complain the original contact surprisingly will not talk to you.Caller: The Money Group
Call Type: Telemarketer"

Interestingly none of my emails have been replied to....

BEWARE!!!

Hi
Dont pay any money up front regardless I never did and you dont have the money as you are looking to get an IVA
Forget the company you are with Just tell them you changed your mind and not to call you again
Look in this forum for a better company and call them It takes 5 minutes and they will put your mind at rest
5 years is a long time to deal with the IVA so you have to be comfortable and confident to complete
DONT sign anything yet get on the phone to another 2 companies at least and tell them the situation they will advise you
If they want upfront money say no thanks
Plenty of people in the same boat as you dont worry it will get sorted but you have to do it nobody else can
good luck

Good point Rosepetal - you do need to open up an account that doesn't belong to a creditor.

Co-op come recommended. Don't touch HSBC or First Direct as they will close your account once an IVA is opened, even if they are not a creditor.
