Hi,
My IVA completed in April. On my credit report the accounts read "satisfied" and have a zero balance. However, in the public information section of the report a CCJ is still showing with a balance of over £11k outstanding. The name beside it read, "Civil Processing Centre, Royal Court of Justice, Belfast." The record was last updated on 5th May.
I wrote to the Court Service at the address shown on the report and provided a copy of my certificate of completion, and asked them to update the record to reflect that the account has now been satisfied.
The Court Service have now responded saying that they have "no access to individual credit reports nor does it advise other parties of the status of court cases. Once a decree is made in court the court office has no further responsibility to the parties."
Does anyone know where I can turn to now to get the record updated? any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
regards

My understanding is you can get it marked as satified/partly - but not removed (unless paid back fully) -this will continue for the full six years - it will then drop off credt file.
The IVA does NOT replace the CCJ - just prevents action being taken on the CCJ
"How to Remove a CCJ
To remove a CCJ from your record, you will need the following information/documents:
- The original court summons you received
- The name of the creditor/lender that took out the summons on you
- The name of the court you were supposed to attend
- The case number - without which you may not even be able to have your case looked at, let alone removed. The case number is vital for removal of a CCJ, and if you have lost it, you can pay the registry £15 to receive the details.
Once you have all the documents in hand, write a letter to the Chief Clerk at the Registry of Court Judgments clearly indicating your case and the problem.
Note: You must be in the process of paying back the loan or have already paid back the loan in full for the CCJ to be removed. "

Thanks ginger 3232 for your reply.
I understand that it must remain on the credit report for 6 years, so I don't want it removed, but would just like the record updated to reflect the fact that it's now satisfied under the completed IVA.
I have the documents you mentioned to hand, so I will write to the Registry of Court Judgements.
thanks again for your help - much appreciated.

I dont think they add as satified - unless the full debt on the CCJ is repayed.
Hope i am wrong on this :-)but the below information seems to confirm unless you have paid fully the debt under the CCJ - it will not be marked
"Certificate of satisfaction - Satisfied vs unsatisfied CCJs
CCJs are shown as either satisfied or unsatisfied on the register. Satisfied means you’ve paid – unsatisfied mean you haven’t. You can correct this if it’s wrong.
Certficates of satisfaction
Lenders look at information from the CCJ register when deciding whether to offer credit or not. Getting a mortgage with a CCJ, for instance, can be difficult.
If the register shows you’ve got a CCJ and haven’t paid it off, it’s even more difficult to get credit.
Getting a certificate of satisfaction
If you pay a CCJ more than a month after the judgment date, it stays on the register for six years. There is no way to remove it.
If you’ve paid the CCJ in full, however, you can apply to have it shown as satisfied by proving it to the court and by getting a certificate of satisfaction.
This will show anyone searching the register that you have paid, and when you did so.
Step by step Here’s what to do to get a judgment marked as satisfied. You will have to do this yourself if the person who got the CCJ against you didn’t tell the court when you paid.
Search the register First, search the register to see what it shows about you. If the CCJ is shown as unsatisfied, but you’ve paid in full, you can apply to have this corrected.
Contact the court Contact the court that last heard your case. You’ll need to fill out a form. You also need the claim number of the CCJ.
Get confirmation You’ll need proof that you’ve paid in full (so get a receipt). If you can’t get this proof, the court will write to the person who won the CCJ.
Pay the fee There is a fee of £15 – the court will give you more details of this.
The court will then write to you to confirm the CCJ is marked as satisfied. This only happens if you pay in full. Part repayment of CCJs is not recorded."

Thanks for the info. Ginger3232.
I haven't paid in full, (IVA was 22p in the £) so it look like I will just have to wait for it to fall off after the 6 years are up.
Thanks for all the info.

Another five years to go, but I won't be looking for too much credit in that time anyway, maybe upgrade phone contract or things like that.
