Thanks Jan n no worries n thank u Lesley it's times like these I wish I did have some one with some knowledge of cars.
I know the my post described it Air con, that's not the bit I'm bothered about, it's the vents that blow n heat the windows to de mist etc. Im just thinking of the winter. When u have kids in the car & there is going to be a baby arriving in january, we don't really Wana be driving round with windows open! I'd love to leave it, I've got enough on at the mo n Xmas just round the corner, I'm really not happy about it. We only used to use it to sort windows out & going on last winter, we had to do it alot.

Fingers crossed that you can get it sorted Lyns. Really feel for you at the moment - nothing seems to be going right does it?

Hopefully baby will be calm and collected when he/she arrives after all the stress!!

I really do feel fed up Jan, I've been emotional today because it's just going to mess up what little I had planned to do with the boys for the holiday & start sorting their room out, I've still not finished getting school uniforms n shoes sorted. Plus I've usually started Xmas shopping by now n that will be on hold for another month too.
I can't expect anymore off my Dad, my 2nd month payment break that I canceled, was supposed to repay him part of the money he gave me.
I fo feel really rubbish about it all x

Lyns I really do feel for you and wish there was something I could do to help. Just concentrate on you and the little one now - you are far more important than any debts.

Just remember that we are here for you on and off forum

Hi lyns, just caught up with this!!! What a nightmare!! Hope your good garage sorts this out! Hope it's nice & cheap! Fords tend to be a cheaper fix on the whole.
The road is 72months long starting September 2010.

Thank u Jan, I really appreciate you all xxxx

No worries langerbridge, I'm getting a tad fed up of it all now! Garage think it's something along the lines of what the link for fords in a early post talk about. If it's a common fault with them, then Fingers crossed its not so bad.

Hopefully I will feel bit better tomorrow & I will email Karol at GT to get the others bit sorted.

I see the consultant next week, so hopefully will feel alittle more at ease with this pregnancy x

Chill out Lyns - all the virtual aunties and uncles on here are waiting for a new little niece or nephew!!

I know it is hard for you but you do have to consider yourself and the new baby first.

Hi all,

Thought I would let you know how the car went on. I put it in yesterday as it was payday & just wanted to get it out the way n stop worrying about it! Came out Good & Bad!!!
The link that was put on by ST1100 I will be certainly using again in future as it was the problem, luckily I was told! The resistor had gone & was 72 to fix, parts & labor.
I asked them to check the tyres, as when we bought it they had come up on the warning note on the MOT certificate. Well Im glad we did, 2 were barely legal & one of them had a nail in it, pointless repairing the one with the nail, so ended up with 2 new tyres at 57 each. The other 2 were ok, so they put the new ones on the front & the others on the back. So bill came to 186 altogether :( But Im glad its done & I can stop worrying about it.

GT finally sent me a correct Direct Debit instruction which came out as normal this month, but they still have my final payment as a month later than what it should be, but I will get onto that after this baby is born. Especially after the recent scare I have just had, I dont need the stress & if it ends being a month longer then so be it!

Thanks for all the great advise & support on the car! Lets hope it behaves its self now x

Lyns,

What a nightmare you've been having!

I'm fairly handy with cars, I knew from your first post what the problem was! Regardless, your garage seems very reasonably priced so at least you've been looked after and definitely not ripped off.

I'm more than happy to help any forum member maintain their car, be it advice or helping with or undertaking servicing if you are local! Do send me a message or bring any car related threads to my attention if I've missed any! [:)]

I can feel your pain with your Car - I spent £540 repairing mine in Arpil - First month of my IVA! as the Front Suspenion snapped and embedded itself in the tyre.

Went out this morning got around 5 houses down on the road! " CLUNK" !!!! - stopped and its happened again but with the back suspension on the passenger side. Managed to get it home and its in the drive but Will need to wait till payday to take it to a garage. Luckily, the spring hasn't gone into the tyre so should be able to drive it to Garage carefully as its only a mile away!

I feel sick today!!! I am sure I am jinxed!
