Public Record Information such as Bankruptcies and IVA's are obtained from the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes or the Insolvency Service.

It's most likely that the CRA get a daily update file from the Insolvency Service, the reason I say this is that Equifax knew the exact date my IVA was removed from the register, not the date of my certificate and had to provide the certificate for them to back date this to match the other 2 CRA's.

Too right it is - I wonder just how many people out there still have defaults showing up and haven't a clue what to do about it?

I cannot wait to get my certificate and start fighting all these battles. Just when you think you're at the end.....

I will be writing my letters as soon as I get the completion certificate. I enjoy a good argument - especially when I am in the right!!

I'm always right. I just hate fighting battles with people who can't see this. I feel the CRAs are going to be an uphill battle

Like i've been saying, the deafults (most people have trouble with) all got removed easily for me - on both equifax and experian...but removing the CCJ itself is proving MUCH harder.

Equifax, give them credit, have now removed my IVA and my score has gone straight to excellent (they did that for free also.) And said, credit, no problem if you want it.

Experian....Frankly an absolute pain in the backside. Got my certificate of completion, dont know the satisfied date, won't remove it themselves, say the insolvency service has to respond to THEM - and they say they won't....i mean it's an absolute joke.

I'm applying for a new"er" car at the local peugeot dealer. I had to tell him to wait and I said it was dodgy that only one of the agencies was clean - and leaves it on a knife edge.

Don't worry about the minute of recall. Person on the phone went to a senior team member and confirmed to me it was a mistake, and removed it from my file in 24 hours.

UPDATE: Quite unbelieveable this.

I went for a car with Peugeot BSA finance, mainstream lending....even with an IVA showing on experian, guess what. I've been accepted.

Can't even explain this one.
