During my IVA i wasn't too bothered about the months and they just passed me by. Now im into the last 8 now, i seem to be ticking down each month and its like a little boy waiting for christmas! Is this normal?? and does it get worse as i get to the end of the IVA or get better as the months close to the end?

Also what should i expect after the last payment? anything i should do, or be in contact with my IP over??

I have sent an email today to my IP to ask the same questions, i just wondered what everyones experiences of this was.

Well done on getting this far....and yes, from the posts on here everyone coming to the end of the IVA feels the same - and who can blame you - its a long old slog!

Your IP will come back to you with what contact they will have with you and what documentation you will be sent.

Roll on 8 months!

Hi antm. I would say it is totally normal my friend. I myself have let the months just go by but a few times a year I take a look to see where I am.

I too anticipate ticking the months off and getting all giddy like a little kid at Xmas. So enjoy the feeling and I hope those 8 months fly by for you!
1st payment Oct 2008, last payment Dec 2013. Certificate received March 2015 due to PPI claim.

The 1st of March seems so far away, yet its within reaching distance! its daft, need to forget about these things and think of other milestones!! 7 weeks till 2 weeks off work, then 14 weeks back at work until the next week off, then christmas, birthdays, then IVA complete.

I'm jealous! It's a case of 2 payments down, 58 to go for me! :-(

I remember been back there Vignal, it was relief that my debts where in order, i had a plan and was well on my way, the months will soon tick down and that first review will be round the corner.

8 months isn't too far away now, but I can say when I got down to just one payment to go, it did seem to drag. Hoping the months don't drag too much for you.
