After a positive 24hrs, I am suddenly starting to feel really worried about my creditors meeting. What if they all say no???????? I feel so positive sbout making the decision to go for an IVA that I would be gutted if they didnt agree.
Anyone else feel like this before their creditor meeting???
I think we all felt that way Clare --- we are all told and all repeat that the IP wouldn't put it forward if they didn't think it would be a "yes". But still the doubts nag!
When you think the IP stands to lose the nominees fee (maybe up to £2000) and the work done in drafting the proposal would be wasted, they must be VERY confident !!!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi Clare our creditors meeting is on Monday and I've been up since 3.30am stressing about it, so you're not alone in worrying. I know logically the odds are with us, as it wouldn't be put forward if it wasn't likely to be accepted but you still worry that you'll be one of the few that get regected. Having said that I've searched all the forums I can find and can't find many people saying they had the dreaded NO from the creditior and just an odd few where meeting is adjurned and there's a change in the proposal to get it through.
Aww good luck to the both of you, i'm sure it will be fine. I remember all those feelings all too well and was just the same as it approached our first annual review. x
I am sure you will both be fine - the feelings are natural, we all went through them.
Not read of a rejection on here in a long time.

Oh yes I felt exactly like this, I was accepted over a month ago now and I've only just in the last couple of weeks lost the anxiety about it all and I'm not naturally a worrier! So yes we all feel like this, it's a big deal and matters so of course we're anxious.
All I can say is what people said to me before mine - and it's all true! - it'll be over soon and the IVA company wouldn't have put it forward if they didn't believe they would have success. GOOD LUCK!

Becks / Clareboo - these days creditors are happy to get some return. As said before on the forum, an IP is not going to waste their time and money putting forward a proposal that they don't think has a high chance of success. And they are very thorough. When I sent back my I&E details I had forgotten some things and they could see I was stretching it a bit to release more money. So after discussion we adjusted and I'm glad we did. If it makes you feel happier we had £80,000 + debts and no-one voted no to our dividend return of 17p / £1. I did provide medical evidence to show I was permenantly having to reduce my hours and that we had strongly considered bankruptcy but went for the IVA to repay a bit more so they probably knew which route we would go if they voted no.
It will be hard until your meeting and once it's approved then you can catch up on sleep. I'm amazed how easily I drop off now at night.
Good luck guys
