You would find it really difficult to obtain a mortgage whilst in an IVA. One of our posters has recently managed to secure a mortgage with a 50% deposit.

You would struggle to get anyone to give you anywhere near 90% LTV with an IVA on your record. Are you in an IVA or have you had one recently?

Hi.Good Luck .I think you will need more than luck alone though.Even without being in an IVA only 2% of mortgages are being accepted with 90% LTV

Hi and welcome.

Totally concur - you stand no chance of getting a mortgage whilst in an IVA and even if you were solvent a 90% one these days is pretty dead in the water.

If you are still in an IVA, how have you managed to save up a deposit or is someone putting the money up for you?

To be offered a mortgage at all is pretty good going. Which lender was it? It would be helpful for anyone else thinking of buying a house to know.

50% deposit was the only mortgage on offer to us in March 2011 - we were told that it would be the same for at least two years after IVA has ended ! Keep trying but i do think you will be lucky to get one with 10% deposit.

Even people with clean credit ratings are struggling to get 90% LTV at present - so with an IVA it is impossible.
