Hi claire and welcome to the forum. Repairs can be costly I know from first hand experience. Try not to worry too much as payment breaks can be requested to cover some things but contingency funds should be saved too. I assume you've had your first review and an up to date I&E was submitted? x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi and welcome from me as well.

Good advice from Lesley - you should be able to request a payment break if you need one.

You still could - if you took a payment break then you could pay a bit extra over a few months until you caught up.

You should be allowed about £25 per month for home maintenance. You could request this from your IP either now or at the annual review. This would cover minor repairs and decoration but larger things may require a short break at the others have suggested.

I would be suprised if you were not allowed a house maintenance budget in line with Michael's figures within your original proposal? I see this as an essential contingency - as everyone needs to spend a little on this area over a five year period even if you live in a brand new property.
