fortunately we have been out all day but I have a letter from 'fieldcall' acting on behalf of Egg saying they have been (the letter was hand delivered so I presume they have) and to call Egg to discuss my arrears and then ring them otherwise they will come back in a few days.

My creditors meeting is 16th May so what do i do?

I have tried to call Egg but they are closed, I have called the debt collector who to be fair was very nice, explained about our creditors meeting and he just asked me to let Egg know next week so I don't think he will come back at this stage.

However, he did ask me how long we had lived at our current address and if we owned or rented, I am now worried that Egg are going to try for a charging order before we get our iva, help!

keep strong Lem - not long until the meeting. There's no way Egg can get a charging order done in that time - your IP can block the application even if they tried to so there's nothing to get wound up about :o)

Don't worry lem, it's most unusual for collectors to actually arrive. As you have spoken to them then I don't think they will back.

They cannot get a charging order, ccj or anything else in the time. Do give Mel's office a ring though and tell them what has happened.

Hi Lem - your meeting is so close now I can't imagine Egg will have the time to get a charging order. Just give your IP a ring after the Easter break and let them deal with it.xx

I wouldn't have given him any information about my house. It's none of their business.

You'll be fine lem.

Totally agree with the other posters, give Mel a ring or drop her an email to keep her in the loop. Hope you're ok? Time will go and it won't be long now until your meeting date, we're all behind you x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Don't worry lem - they haven't time to do anything and Mel will be in touch soon.

Lem - don't feel bad! They can't do anything with the information at this stage. It is a very short time to your meeting AND you have two bank holidays on your side. Did the letter say they came in person or did it say they "called" and would be "calling again"? The latter "call" is actually a phone call! I had a few of these before i figured it out. x

Thanks Jan, why do these things always happen on a weekend or bank hol when you can't do anything about it and instead of enjoying the time off you just end up more stressed?

they definitely came in person, the envelope had no stamp on it so was obviously hand delivered, all the way from Northampton aswell (which is 200 miles away!!)

the letter also stated they had been instructed to 'meet with me' to discuss my arrears and if I didn't call them they would visit again in the next few days

They probably did call, but don't let it upset the remainder of the weekend. You've spoken to them and I don't think they will be round again. Keep strong.
