My mobile is turned off at night - if anyone wants me they can use the housephone! Don't think my hubby would be too impressed if I started posting on here in the middle of the night.

My hubby has no choice as if I can't sleep which is more often than not, I do what I want as he's fast asleep and it doesn't affect him.

I agree the forum is addictive and I enjoy coming here after a day at work and just being amongst friends in a same/similar situation. x

I stay in bed if I can't sleep, even if the mind is churning. I wouldn't get up as the dogs would be disturbed as would hubby and he would kill me if I used the mobile in bed.

I play bejeweled on my phone every night to get me to sleep, he prefers that to me falling to sleep with the TV on.

I just wish I could sleep like a normal person but some people don't, we're all different. A lot going on at the moment with annual review, the move of the college where I work etc., so I'm on sleeping pills (herbal) but still don't like them as I feel like a zombie during the morning. x

I never play games on the computer or on my phone, which is switched off at night. We don't have a TV in the bedroom and if either of us wants to watch late night TV then it's downstairs.

The earliest I get up is about 7.30 when the dogs decide they want to go out or 6 when I'm at work.

I play bejewled as I'm addicted...I not only don't sleep it takes me hours to fall to sleep.

I'm up at all irregular times to be fair, tonight I feel tired but know if I go to bed now I won't sleep and if I did fall asleep this side of 10 I'd be awake by 3 so it's best I stay up until a bit later at least. Hubby is used to it so doesn't moan, we've tried all sorts to no avail so it's live with it I'm afraid and do sympathise with anyone who suffers from insomnia. x

I'll be gone to bed shortly after ten and stay there until 6 when the alarm goes off.

I used to play computer games but not anymore.

My dad swears by Dr Stuart's Valerian Tea Lesley. And I self-medicate with Benelyn original cough medicine (i.e. not the non-drowsy). I can't remember what it contains but it knocks me out so I don't care!

Thanks BOL, I had a particularly bad night last night, but a lot of stress going on at work at the minute, two new roles within a college to learn and topped with relocation and a few problems with annual review too so all in all I'm a wreck at the minute, got the most massive ulcer on my bottom lip.......very attractive! Daughter gave me anbesol for that tonight so not so painful now. Last night I went to bed at 11pm, up at 1am-4am, back to bed at 4am, up again at 5am! Sleep by 6:30am, up at 8 am and rushed and I mean rushed to work and arrived at 8.50am only to be told to check my rota I wasn't due in until 9.15! Honestly I don't know what I'm doing at the minute!

I do have some Valerian tablets which I've used in the past.

Whatever the OP wants is what they should look for. They should try to find a holiday they can afford to pay for, even if it is only a few days away in this country.

Lesley - I'm sorry to hear about everything that's going on. It can be really unsettling when you have a lot going on and this can't help but affect how you're sleeping. You're always so strong and must be about due a bit of luck xx

Thanks BOL and apologies for digressing on the topic, this does often happen within a thread though x
