Hi Cazann
Firstly - so sorry to hear about your situation and I wish you the very best in terms of your treatment and I hope everything goes okay. What Melanie and the other guys have said previously is correct, its best to let us know so we can help in any way we can. I do also understand the frustration of trying to get hold of the right person especially when you are not feeling well.
I am more than happy to pick this up for internally and ensure it gets the priority it deserves. If you wouldn’t mind sending me a short email with your details on their I will ensure it gets looked at quickly. My contact details can be found in my profile under the experts section.

Thanks

Thank you Declan at DFD. Your team has prepared a variation with a proposal to end IVA early in light of my circumstances.
I am still not working and currently having chemotherapy, not a very pleasant experience so far and I still have a long way to go.
Thanks again for your help.

Hopefully the IVA can be concluded now so that you can concentrate on your health.

I hope the rest of your treatment goes well and that you get a clean bill of health at the end of it.

Best of wishes and I sincerely hope you are feeling well again soon - I am sure Declan will continue to push this for you and your variation will be in your favour. You will then be able to concentrate solely on your health - that is the most important thing of all.
Take care x

Thanks again for all the good wishes. I need to stay positive. Suffering the side effects of chemotherapy and surgery will all be worth it when I become a cancer survivor!

Declan, what happens next? I know a variation document has been drafted which I approved by email. Will I be notified of the date of the variation meeting? How long does a meeting usually take to arrange?

Hi cazann, welcome to the forum. I have a very close friend who has just had cancer treatment, and is well on the way to recovery. I wish you all the very best for a quick recovery, and I'm sure DFD will get you the right solution.

Google Lisa lynch; her blog about diagnosis, treatment and recovery helped my friend immensely, and taught me a lot about what she was going through. Her book, the c word is also excellent.

Love

Hi again Declan, just to let you know I received documents with date of meeting in the post yesterday. It is 15th March. Thanks

Hi Clarey, yes I am aware of lots of success stories re cancer treatment, and am hopeful I will survive....It is just the long long road ahead that is daunting, the treatment programme is so long. I was hoping I would be able to work through some of it but so far I have felt so ill there is no way I could work.
I have learned a lot from looking at the Macmillan cancer support website and am grateful to everyone who donates to organisations like Macmillan. Also I had never heard of a charity called Look Good Feel Better who arrange for people undergoing cancer treatment to have a pampering session where beauticians give their time and organisations like John Lewis donate beauty products to help patients make the best of themselves when they are feeling at their worse.(no hair and no eye brows) I am booked in for a session on 15th March.....The day of the creditors variation meeting! I hope it will be a good day all round and I will be able to afford to buy a nice wig to help me feel better. xx thanks for your good wishes x
Whether it be ill health or financial problems with support from others we can all make it.

I hope you have a fantastic pampering session! I've seen the charity advertised and it's such a good idea.

Good luck with your treatment, please keep posting to let us know how you are x

Canzann - on you first post you mentioned you will get paid for 4/5 month. even after your chemo , chances are you feel tired at times, so you may find returning,to full time work heavy going to start with. Look at the Macmillian website about the financial help that you could get. There are also very good about apsects of treament/care/social/welfare infomation.
One more step to to full recover.:-)

Best Wishes
