hi there im currently in an IVA with payplan. I am very concerned. My payments are up to date; however ive recently had a change in occupation, i had applied for career change but the post which was accepted in principle, has been post poned to begin in May. Having left my old job, i am now temping. I have a large phone bill for £200 from my mobile provider, partly due to going over my minutes, also ringing 0845/ business lines as i was looking for immediate work.. however this all said, its not an affordable amount?

any advice would help greatly.

I should be able to pay my iva but other bills may be quite hard.

thanks

You should contact your IP and explain the situation. It should not be difficult to allow you to miss a payment and the shortfall can be made up when your earnings increase. You may need a temporary reduction in payments also but since you believe the new career will be a benefit, creditors will ultimately get more.

I'm sure your case officer should be able to come up with a solution to this when you contact them. Let us know if you have any problems.

I'm sure things will be ok and congratulations on the new job even if it is a little delayed!

I would certainly speak to your case supervisor.
