Hello,

I'm engaged to my boyfriend and intend to move into his house, its only his name on the mortgage and deeds and there is quite a bit of equity in the property. I intend to pay my share of the bills so when we get married will my creditors be able to take the equity in my boyfriends property?

Not sure if anyone can advise on this?

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I take it that you are in an IVA and that your fiance is not part of it?

If that is the case, his equity is quite safe.

Hi,

Thank you, yes I started my IVA before I met my boyfriend and he has never been part of it

I'm sure there will be no problem then.

One of the experts will be along later with advice.
