Hi Mel,

Having read through loads of topics regarding Northern Rock i feel alot bettr about things.

Everyone seems to be so negative about NR but i think its fair to say they only really seem to reject when clients have enough surplus to pay bck via a DMP over a reasonable time. At first it felt as though everyone was saying NR reject to be awkward or unfair.

I am about to put forward a proposal of which NR hold a massive 50% o therefore it'll be their decision after feeling disheartened i', now feeling a bit more positive and i am going to put forward a proposal of £259 for £49k joint debt. I'm hoping they will see that a DMP will take too long approx 20 years and accept our offer.

I've read that NR have a well known criteria however i can't seem to see anywhere what that is. Can you help me ???

I certainly do PaulyB - and that was in the bad old days! This are much easier now, and I find them one of the more reasonable creditors to deal with to be frank.

I'd be happy to help you with this - but to be specific about their criteria then I would need to know more about your overall financial situation. You can contact me via the "Ask an Expert" section if you like, or GT should be able to explain this to you if that is the firm you are going to choose to represent you.

On the information you have provided, an IVA would seem to be a suitable solution.

Hi Mel,

Well after reading loads of excellent reviews about yourself and IVA Advice Bureau i am most definately going to use your company to apply for an IVA. I have spoken with Melanie Nicholls today who was really helpful and gave me all the confidence that she will help me along the way. She mentioned that an appt with you at some point may be required as my husband is self employed, that would be great. We'll see how things go.

I really need a company who knows Northern Rock together mortgages as well as you do so i'm so glad i visited this website or else i'd have been none the wiser.

Thanks again
