A cash gift for a birthday or Christmas is very different to not declaring regular income!

Hi
I am sure that Welch is correct in that there are some people not being totally honest with their IP but they run the risk of the IVA failing and being back at square one. The worst case scenario is that they will face prosecution.
As others have said cash gifts are fine if they are for Xmas or Birthdays or to help out in general. Any windfalls other than these gifts, have to be declared to your IP.
Everyone is allowed an opinion however this forum will not support people dealing with their debt solutions dishonestly
Regards

We are allowed to receive cash gifts. It is totally different to not declaring unearned income.

There is also a difference between a cash gift for Christmas or birthdays and a windfall. Anything over £500 is normally classed as a windfall and would need to be declared.

Do you have any official figures welch9?

I think Welsh9 is thinking the IVA companies are a little stupid as we all have to produce I&E. I know there are some who may work cash in hand or not declare monies. All I know is I want my IVA to succeed. Isn't that why we have all done this? Maybe I'm naive but I have told IP about any changes. They have been very helpful. Never received any undeclared income. Too afraid IVA would fail!!

All of us want our IVA to succeed.

IVA companies are not stupid, we do have to produce an I&E and also they do have ways and means of finding out if anyone is trying to take the P.

You're not niave deb, you're trying to repay as much as you can.

Hi Jan,
Just didn't want one person to assume we all think as they do. I hope no one thought I meant anyone on forum would not take their IVA seriously. I know how much you and some others work to make IVA succeed and help us newbees!!

I think that this is a wind up. In my opinion anyone who has had serious trouble with debt and knows the worry and stress that goes with it would not even be thinking about this. This is last chance saloon and I would certainly never do anything that would jeopardise my IVA cos I certainly don't ever want to feel the way I felt pre IVA. Even if I did ever consider not declaring any income (which I would not) I certainly wouldn't advertise the fact on an IVA forum where my details could be identified and reported!.

I hope WELCH9 does it and gets caught. It would serve them right. What a silly attitude and to say that 40% do this well where is the evidence. None because he hasn't got any. I mail and ring my IP company over everything because I want this to work. We all want it to work. Sorry about the rant but people like this annoy me.
