It does not normally go in the paper anymore not since April 2009 although the OR still has the power to do so in your case extremely doubtfull unless the OR believes there is a reason to do so

Hi there
Ive heard some towns only put it in the London Gazette but not all, unfortuantely our local paper does issue the notices I have checked with the paper recently and also seen them in there
I would certainly check. You may find that you won't be in the local paper.

Has your IP gone back to RBS to tell them that you will be going bankrupt if they don't accept the offer? And what exactly are they objecting about if other creditors have accepted?

Hi
Yes, thats what I dont understand as I know the other options are bancruptcy or the is debt passed back to creditors, the IP kept talking about it not being worth their(RBS') while in costs to accept what I have offered and instead would reject, Im so confused, I have talked to 3 people at the IP company collectively for about 3 hours now and still no clearer as to what is ging to happen to me!
By the way thank you for your time to respond to me.
I was originally with Wilson Philips then last July Grant Thornton took over, they lost all my paperwork and original redundancy letters in the handover, none of my case was communicated properly in the handover and nobody at Gratnt Thornton had any idea I had even asked for a payment break due to redundancy and my account went into arrears, they failed to tell me this also it and caused me alot of stress, I just want this out my life however it happens, what ever measure I have to take!
Can I encourage you to speak to Grant Thornton and explain all of the difficulties you have had with their Customer Care Manager or even one of the IPs directly.
A few days ago I posted a note when at my wits end, I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who replied, the words of advise and support from so many kind users really helped me in my hour of need, as selfish as it was to mention such morbid thoughts its strange what exhaustion, baby blues and debt does to your mind, but I am feeling much better now.
I have also spoken at length yet again to my IP and agreed yesterday after ging through all my options again, to use my full and final settlement amount to pay my 9 months arrears of £2,000 as a one off then keep the other £2000 (donation from grandma) in my bank and make monthly payments as normal out of this of £200 per month taking me upto May 2011, still nowhere near what I owed but at least its something and I may be able to offer more between now and then.
This takes the pressure off for a long time and also gives me more time to spend with my baby and look for a decent job once Im ready and focussed in a few months.
So unfortunately I'm still tied into my IVA until December 2012 but hey ho things are looking up.
Thanks again to everyone, I hope that I can offer some sort of help and advise to others at some point soon.
So glad that you are feeling better and that the forum has been able to help you. It is a place where you will always receive advice and lots of support.
Glad your IP has been able to help you, and you have some breathing space.
Enjoy your time with the new baby, and let us know how you are getting on.
