Hi all
Is a 'default notice' from a creditor different to a 'defaulted credit account'?
Just had a look at my rather colourful(as it is now!) credit report and it states that I have 'no defaults' registered, although when it goes into my credit agreement history it does show my current situation with regards my account going into arrears just recently.
Just wondering if there is a difference - I think there may be but cant be sure of the detail.
cheers :)

I don't know either, but will just bump this back up so one of the experts can see it.

Hi 666,

A defualt notice is something your creditors has to send to you when you have defualted on the account, they will then report this to the credit agences (they ussually up date every 28 days but may be longer in some case) this should then show as a defualt on your credit file.

regards

No need to worry about defaults on your record until after the IVA has finished, then you can get any removed which were placed on after IVA approval.
