Excellent result and well worth the wait. as Melanie says speed is not the most important thing but it is vital to prepare the correct documents. On another thread Fingerscrossed had their IVA approved in 5 weeks and it is now certain to fail costing the client and the creditors substantial money and added pressure and heartache for Fingerscrossed.

It is much better to take the required time to draft the correct proposal and I am sure Olive Oyl's IVA will run it's course for the benefit of all concerned. Well done again.

Hello all, we didn't go for an IVA we went for a full and final which Susan Clay put together for us and the creditors found hard to refuse, thankyou all for your good wishes.

I think it is still classed as an IVA, and I think it will remain on your record for the next six years.

Could be wrong though, so hopefully one of the experts will be along to agree or not!

Pretty sure it still is classed as an IVA and stays on file for the 6 years.

That's what I thought Paul, just wasn't 100% about it.

Not really bothered about that, the fact that we are debt free means more to us than credit files and from now on we will have to do things the proper way and save for the things we want. We have gone over a year with no credit and were still here :-)

A very sensible attitude Olive. So many of my potential clients are too concerned about the effect on their credit ratings that they carry on borrowing money for far too long before realising that they cannot afford to pay it back.
