My IP didn't say, - he just asked me to provide documents showing whether I can or not, - I'm presuming that I can opt out of the premium scheme I'm currently in and opt into the "standard" scheme and that will be good enough.

Its a pity their asking you to do that as I believe its important to have a good pension in place. As you say the standard one will be good enough and maybe you can revert back to the premium scheme post IVA.

Have a lovely relaxing evening, I'm sure you need one after today's events.

xx

Your IP should be resisting this on your behalf. A basic pension is generally allowable so long as you are only making minimum contributions.

Hi Melanie, - I think this is the gist of what my IP's trying to tell me, - I'm currently in a premium pension scheme, - he wants me to provide evidence of the savings if I opted into the basic scheme (I'm a civil servant and he seems pretty knowledgable about the types of pension scheme available to me)
I owe, I owe, - so off to work I go...
