My car is registered in my name, insurance in my name husband as co-driver.

Both my husband and myself receive state pension and company pensions. However, my husband is working for an agency at his old job. (His company said there is a job for him as long as he wants it).

He uses the car every day to get to station and then travels to work on train. He needs the car for work as occasionally he works weekends has to report for work 6.30am.

Should I put down nil for petrol on my form and that he covers the cost on his form?

Hope this makes sense!

Any advice welcome, thanks.

Pat

You should allocate the costs in the ratio that the person using the car incurs. So if you do not use the car at all, then it is fine for you to allocate all of the petrol expenditure to your husband.

Are the forms you are filling in for a bankruptcy application, or an IVA?

I thought so - in which case try and allocate the costs in the actual order that you incur them as an individual.
