This is a very strange question but please bear with me... we have entered into a DMP and have a car on HP, we need to change it in the not too distant future as my hubby is a self employed driving instructor, no car=no income=more debt,we are aware that getting finance is virtually impossible now but we have never missed a payment on the HP agreement and we are wondering if anyone has experience of renewing HP agreements with the existing company...is it worth waiting 6 months before contacting the HP company as I am aware that our credit rating is not on top form at the moment,
Thanks

Hi
You may find that your existing HP company will refinance you as they have a record of your payments made on time.
As Jan states Duncton are highly recommended and should be able to help
Regards
I'm so glad I found this site, each time I think I've reached a dead end and can't see any way out someone is able to offer advice and add an extra slither to that light at the end of the tunnel.
I will try the original company 1st and then Duncton if needed
Thanks
Suzie
Other posters have used Duncton and found them to be fine. I hope you can get things sorted with your own company, but at least there is a back up if you need it.
