Hi All

We do nto get a lot of post since our IVA, which is a boon to having peace of mind. However today we received two letters from the same company. We have had similar to these in the past but the tone on these is different. it talkis about reviewing IVAs and makes reference to them been tasked with ensuring we have received the correct solution to our problems.

They want us to call there action line the number is 0800 840 1771.

my question is has anyone heard of these people and if so what is it all about.

Thanks

Hi there
Yes, the IVA Watchdog is quite well known on this forum and there have been a few threads relating to them.
This company offers to "review" your IVA when in actual fact they will offer to help you go bankrupt for a considerable fee. Our advice and the advice of most people in this forum is to simply ignore these people. Its best to either bin their letters, send them to your IP or send them to size5 (a forum expert) who is collecting these letters.

Thanks

Hi
They have been tasked by themselves to review your IVA with a view to putting you through assisted bankruptcy at a cost of over 1k plus court fees.
Throw it in the bin, if you have a problem with your IVA contact your IP and if you wish do go bankrupt you can do this without spending 1k

I agree with the others. Paying £1,000 for something you can do yourself is just not worth it. If you ever decide to go down the bankruptcy route I will do the paperwork myself and you will have nothing to pay but the court fee. These type of firms bring nothing to insolvency and the Insolvency Service itself has also issued advice for people to avoid them.

Hi Janderson
These letter don't stop, evey now and then you'll get another. I've sent a copy of mine to size 5 (which I hope he got?). I used to think about ringing them, but thankfully never have.

I did Trickles, so thanks very much for that. As you may know, David took on, beat and actually got paid from the fore-runner of IVA Watchdog, which was the IVA Council. Without wishing to give too much away, there are now other parties that are looking at the activities of these firms very closely indeed, so watch this space.

Hubby has had yet another one today.

As soon as I see the heading on the letter I don't read it.

Size5, I can bring it along to FF if you wish?

Hi

Thanks for the replies, I have just scanned and sent the letter for size 5 hope you get it OK. We are happy with our IVA and I do not think we will reply to this approach. Seems like a con to me. my OHs approach is "if it aint broke don,t fix it"

Thanks

Janderson
