As most of us budget for our fuel bills by paying by direct debit it is always nice to know that sometimes this works in our favour and we have a little credit when the final readings come around, this happened to me last year and the year before so a nice little extra for chrismas presents. However on asking for the credit to be refunded back to me this year as a result of having that done i can no longer pay by direct debit but can set this up as a standing order and pay the difference once i recieve my quarterly bill! Needless to say i have emailed british gas to say how disappointed i am that i have been penalised because i want some of my money back! phew rant over now.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.
We are with Atlantic for both of ours and I always seem to be a little in credit and do have it back sometimes, or use it to offset against large bills in the winter.
We also get a loyalty bonus each year of one months payments back.
We still pay by Direct Debit.

i would,nt touch british gas with a barge pole after my experience, they were all for fitting a top up quantum meter when i had a large bill i could,nt afford, ended up paying through the nose for my gas and had a right carry on getting the meter out when i was in the black pre iva.
I actually never had a problem with them when they were my supplier. I only changed because Atlantic is cheaper.

what problems did you have with n power skippy, just a update, had a letter from a x creditor today stating that my files had been updated with partly settled account closed.
They were just rubbish and their customer service was non existant.
They opened our gas account but not our electricity account. When we complained they closed the gas account and opened the electricity account!
They spelled Dave's surname differently on each account, and when he asked them to amend it they did, but again with the wrong spelling. This happened 3 times, and each time they wrote to said they had acted on our request!
When we finally decided leave them we got a letter from their debt collectors before we had the final bill. When we queried it they said it's company policy!
N Power are a joke and I wouldn't go back to them if they were the cheapest supplier out there!
I can recommend Atlantic - excellent customer service and a loyalty bonus once a year.
