Hello Jaygee and Tutu, I am also in the process of setting up a DMP with vincent bond, just send off paperwork, but cant pay first months fees til next week. Their service and advice has been fantastic so far. Can I ask if either of you are sending token payments to you creditors whilst the plan is being set up. My creditors will not actually be getting any money from the DMP for 2 months, due to setting up fees, but feel so bad not to pay anything for 2 months.

Hi
Most debt management companies will not advise making token payments

Hi Poppy123

I have not made any token payments, and recommended not to do so. Also the process of setting it all up seems to be taking a while, which i am told is normal, therefore by the time its all set up the first payment will be coming their way.

Good luck

Good luck to all of you beginning your journey with your DMP's.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Just a little update - All paperwork has been received by Bright Oak and the wheels are in motion. Andrew has emailed me to keep me informed of what the next steps are. My payment will go to them on the 22nd and as soon as received Andrews team will send out the letters to my creditors (he said they will be working on it now so that they are ready to go as soon as payment is received).. I cant ask for service better than that ... I am waiting now to see if they all freeze interest - keep you fingers crossed for me......

Update : First payment of £350 has been received by Bright Oak . All letter have gone out to my creditors. Awaiting their responses. I feel loads better now, sleeping a little better at night. I am so glad that I found this site. Special thanks to everyone who has sent me helping messages. Thanks to Melanie who was brilliant to talk to and for putting me in touch with Andrew Graveson.

Wow I cant believe how quick things have been set up now. I've received today letters from Alliance & Leicester and MBNA stating that they will suspend all late fees, over limit fees and interest on my accounts. 2 down 7 to go ..... I am feeling really positive... Bring on the debt free days ....
