Ok, guess my question got missed. Just for interest I can tell you that my salary went into my Lloyds account and didn't get grabbed, thank God. I've left enough in there to pay my essential direct debits mortgage etc which all go out this week and taken the rest out to make sure it doesn't get grabbed by the bank.

I have today heard from Natwest after calling them, that I have been refused an account with them because there was a bank charge on the statement I sent them, yeah right. I have now applied to Coop online but get the sneaky feeling that will fail also as a result of credit checks on my address. If that happens don't know what to do, apart from get my salary paid into my girlfiends account I suppose. What a grind :-(

You should be ok with the co op but it might be best in the meantime to have your salary paid into your girlfriend's account. Just be careful and be nice to her!!

If you get refused online, which will have been for a normal account, then you can always apply for a Cashminder account, which you can only do over the phone or in branch.

Coop is normally a good account as reported by a lot of posters on the forum, hope it goes ok for you x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
