Have just spoken to our case officer at Payplan, she said she has worked for Payplan for years and has put forward many proposals and has never had any more problems with Northern Rock than any other creditor. She said, if NR specify that they want us on a repayment mortgage they will say so at the meeting and if we are happy with that it shouldnt delay matters. She seemed very confident that our proposal is pretty good.. fingers crossed, just a case of waiting for the meeting once they get our paperwork back! Ooh I'm anxious already, must remain calm and not too Moody however, Im going into hospital tomorrow :-(

That sounds positive Mrs M. We are with Payplan and have had excellent service so far.

Hope you are not in hospital for long and that you recover quickly.

previous to starting my IVA application i had contacted northern rock to switch to interest only and was quite simple.

they sent me form asking a few questions and wanted me to explain in a little more depth why i want to go to interest only.

it was approved very quickly and very straight forward.

have a northern rock together mortgage (30k insecure)and had my ip approved today at 30p/£.

hope this helps.

Hope the trip to the hospital isn't too serious Mrs M.

If you read some of the other posts regarding NR voting, you may find that they will be asking to switch to IO mortgage - this may also make things easier so that there may not be any equity built up to be released at the end of the arrangement.

Hope everything goes well.

Have faith in your IP Mrs M. They wouldn't be putting the proposal forward if they didn't think it would be accepted.

I hope everything goes well at the hospital x

Good luck Mrs M, both with the hospital and your proposal.

I predict that it is almost certain you will be asked to switch to an interest only mortgage - but if your IP thinks it is sensible to put forward the offer whilst you are still paying on a repayment basis then you should see what happens at the creditors meeting.
